On Thursday, DJ Zinhle surfaced with a statement in response to a reputation-killing review on one of her HairMajesty products.
HairMajesty review sparks outrage on social media
The producer’s online hair store faced backlash on social media after TikTok influencer, Thulisile Lushaba, highlighted a shocking quality defect in one of the wigs she purchased.
Lushaba left a scathing review on her TikTok page, which has more than 11 700 followers, lambasting DJ Zinhle’s hair business for its ineptiude in not only delivering her order late, but also failing to meet the premium standard it flaunts.

Here’s what DJ Zinhle said in response
When Kairo’s mom first caught wind of the negative feedback, her response was scathing, to say the least. The producer blasted fans for pouring gasoline over an isolated negative review.
When this response drew ire from social media, DJ Zinhle turned to a PR company for a more polished public statement.
In the statement, released on behalf of DJ Zinhle by Entelo Strategic Communications, HairMajesty reiterated its promise to provide premium hair products “and serve with excellence in the ethnic beauty space.”
“In keeping to our promise of sustained quality, we accept and deeply regret that a recent customer report on a particular product did not reflect this. As an emerging business with a promising growth trajectory, we understand, at the core, that our biggest value-proposition is and will continue to be our customers,” the statement read.
In a bid to sweep the blunder under the carpet, DJ Zinhle announced an initiative launching in September 2022 that “speaks to a much-needed pursuit to craft a healthy agenda for aspiring women entrepreneurs the beauty and haircare spare.”
“We look forward to sharing more details about this opportunity with you in September,” the statement concluded.
