House producer and international DJ Black Coffee sent social media into a raucous when his name appeared — for the first time ever — in the 2022 Grammy Awards nominations list.

Coffee, whose one-man show at The Drumsheds, in London, was an epic success, was honoured with a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, a category that includes heavyweight producers Major Lazer and Marshmello, among others.
Coffee purists will argue that the recognition is long overdue but, Coffee attracted the attention of the Recording Academy with his sixth studio album, Subconsciously.
In reaction to the announcement, Coffee pulled a card out of Fat Joe’s deck and declared:
🗣Yesterday’s price is not today’s price #GRAMMYs
