Instagram model Ayanda Thabethe has been the subject of controversy while on a romantic getaway with her mystery man in Dubai.
Ayanda Thabethe denies dating married man
The rumour mill has been on overdrive since early this week when Thabethe started uploading images and videos of her vacation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), very cautious to not include the man she was with.

However, social media ‘sherlocks’ were able to piece together clues handed by Thabethe and determined that the gentleman’s name is Pieter Matsimbe. Our surface-level research on the mystery man pulled nothing of great relevance, only that it is highly likely that Matsimbe may be a Malawian national.
More than the ongoing gossip about her time in Dubai, Thabethe seemed especially concerned about claims that she was enjoying a romantic time with a married man.
In a statement, released by Thabethe’s legal representatives, Makuta Attorneys, the popular model made it clear that neither she nor her partner, referred to in the media release by the initials ‘PM’, is tied to “any marriage or union recognised by any law.”
“Despite this fact, Ms Thabethe and PM have found themselves to be trending topics that are hateful, heinous and defamatory. The said rumours have stained Ms Thabethe’s reputation and the brand she has worked very hard to build,” the statement read.
Thabethe’s attorneys confirmed an investigation is underway to track down and take action against the perpetrator of the supposed fake news, which in this case, may have been the infamous celebrity gossip and murder-accused Musa Khawula.
“Action will be taken against the perpetrators and we again encourage you to refrain from spreading false information,” Thabethe’s lawyers warned.
