Season 22 of Idols South Africa (SA) is reaching its close, and on Sunday, the Top 8 contestants wowed crowds, making the road to the finale a nail-biting affair.

Sunday’s Idols SA episode was a showing of excellence from the Top 8 contestants voted by seven million South Africans.
Fan-favourite Nozi Sibiya, whose recent show-stopping performance attracted the attention of EGOT holder Jennifer Hudson, kicked off the night’s contest with a rendition of Roberta Flack’s The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.
At the same time, Ty Loner impressed judges with his New Edition Can You Stand The Rain cover.

How to vote for your favourite contestant
Each of these Idols SA Top 8 contestants will rely on their growing fanbase to secure a place in the next round. There are several ways to cast a vote for your favourite contestant, each with its own set of perks.
How to vote on website
Voting for your favourite contestant on the Idols SA website is free. You should, however, know that you will require data and an exchange of your personal information to access the voting platform.
Simply;
- Visit the Idols SA page;
- Click ‘Vote’ in the menu;
- Register to vote by entering your personal information (read about the POPI Act);
- Select your favourite contestant;
- Enter the number of votes you are casting for the contestant (max 100 per user); and
- Click ‘Vote’
How to vote via SMS
- Visit Vote page on Idols SA website;
- Quote contestant number (below the thumbnail) in an SMS (e.g. you will enter the text “05” in your messages app to vote for Ceejay)
- Send to 37 400
- Each SMS costs R1.50. Max 100 votes per user.
How to vote on MyDStv app
- Click ‘Rewards’ in the bottom menu;
- Select available rewards and click ‘Idols Voting Card’;
- Based on your MyDStv reward level, you can earn additional votes;
- Click ‘Vote Now’; and
- Follow on-screen prompts;
