The charges against Jub Jub date back to incidents allegedly occurring as far back as 2006.
While the identity of the alleged victim remains officially undisclosed, inside sources within the police investigation suggest that the case was filed by a prominent celebrity and TV personality.
Notably, actress Amanda du Pont previously made serious allegations against Jub Jub, including attempted murder, assault, and sexual assault.
Amanda du Pont’s public accusations against Jub Jub in December 2021 sent shockwaves through the media.
The actress claimed that Jub Jub had subjected her to a range of harrowing experiences, asserting that he had forcibly assaulted her on multiple occasions.
“You made me believe my life would be in danger if I spoke up. So, no, you didn’t smash me. You forcefully opened my legs and forced yourself on me numerous times for two years and made me believe I had no way out,” she added.
These revelations prompted a broader conversation, leading at least four other women to come forward with their own allegations against Jub Jub after he appeared on a popular podcast.
Maarohanye has faced legal challenges in the past. He served time in connection with the tragic deaths of four teenagers during a drag racing incident in 2010 and was released in 2017.
