Jub Jub and Moja Love TV have pulled out the big budget to tease the return of Uyajola 9/9, a reality TV show that mimics Cheaters.
Jub Jub drops Uyajola 9/9 trailer
The reformed child murderer killed all speculation about a new host for the highly-rated reality show when he posted the new season’s trailer, featuring a montage that, more than anything, teases the heightened scale of violence that’s yet to come.
The production behind the official Uyajola 9/9 suggests Moja Love TV is fully backing Jub Jub, real name Molemo Maarohanye, despite his recent run-ins with alleged crimes against women.
In February 2022, Jub Jub sent shockwaves across social media when, during an appearance on the Mac G podcast, he made damning claims about his ex and the mother of his child, Kelly Khumalo, as well as Amanda Du-Point.
Du Pont rebutted with a gob-smacking revelation about the nature of her relationship with Jub Jub, whom she had an affair with around the same time he and Khumalo were an item.
Turns out, according to Du Pont, Jub Jub was allegedly abusing the actress the entire time. In a statement to Sowetan, Du Pont and her attorneys confirmed a rape case was filed against Jub Jub and that the matter is still active.
“‘We confirm that our client, Amanda Du-Pont, opened a criminal case for rape against Jub Jub. As you are aware, matters of this nature are in the hands of the police. We would like to give the police some space to do proper investigations,” Du Pont’s lawyers wrote at the time.
It seems Moja Love TV has moved on from the controversy and welcomed Jub Jub back with open arms.
Neither Jub Jub nor Moja Love TV has released information on the premiere date of the show’s new season.
