Pick n Pay has stepped in to alleviate the pressures faced by municipalities and now offers drivers the convenience of paying fines and vehicle licence renewals in store.
How to renew vehicle licence at Pick n Pay
The retail giant continues on its expansion of the Money Market, and motorists will most certainly appreciate the convenience brought about by the new feature.
Motorists can easily renew their vehicle licence in three easy-to-follow steps and save up on leave days that would’ve otherwise been spent queuing at a municipality office for hours.
From what we understand, Pick n Pay has partnered with Claim Expert to bring this online feature to motorists. Here is what you have to do to renew your vehicle licence at a Pick n Pay store:
- Register on the Pick n Pay Vehicle Licence Disc Online Renewal portal either at a cash till or by visiting this website.
- Setup a payment method on the portal and “opt in” to renew vehicle licence at Pick n Pay store, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, clothing stores, liquor stores, express stores and market stores.
Once setup is complete, you will receive notifications of your outstanding balance which will exclude an admin fee and delivery.
“Your vehicle licence disc renewal payment will include the following, which is automatically added to your payment amount: the amount for the licence renewal, a licence disc renewal admin fee of R345 (including VAT) and a delivery fee of R99 (including VAT),” said Pick n Pay.
Fines that are outstanding can also be settled on the portal and if drivers use this method to renew their vehicle licences, it will be delivered within 10 business days.
