Since acquiring the yacht, named Koru, Bezos has been embarking on lavish island-hopping adventures alongside his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
Measuring an impressive 417 feet in length, the massive vessel boasts an intriguing wooden figurehead at its prow, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Sanchez herself.
Bezos personally bestowed the yacht with the name Koru, which holds significance as it represents a loop symbolising new beginnings in Māori culture.
The couple appears to hold this symbol dear, as Bezos previously shared images of Koru on his Instagram account.
To kick off the new year, the billionaire entrepreneur treated his guests to a spectacular yacht party, posting a carousel of photos on his social media platform. In the caption, Bezos reflected on the importance of personal growth, renewal, and embracing both the positive and negative aspects of life.
Boasting three imposing masts and three decks, Koru offers an opulent experience for its occupants. Notably, one deck features an expansive swimming pool, providing a luxurious setting for relaxation.
According to Boat International, the annual operational costs for Koru amount to approximately $25 million, and the vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests, requiring a crew of 40 skilled sailors.
Additionally, the yacht necessitates a 250-foot support vessel, equipped with a helicopter landing pad for Bezos and his esteemed guests. This auxiliary yacht is expected to carry an assortment of indulgent amenities, including luxury cars, jet skis, and speedboats.
