Harrell’s legend is well-renowned in the United States (US) and most parts of the world. The 59-year-old rose to prominence after he left the rap duo Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (Alonzo Brown) to pursue a professional career in the music business. This was in the early-to-mid 80s.
After a stint at Def Jam recordings where he climbed the ladder to become general manager, Harrell launched his very own music label, Uptown Records.
