Since the turn of the new year, Drake has done nothing but dish out new music and from the video that recently leaked on social media, it seems that we aren’t too far away from an album from the 6 god.
Drake new music releases in 2020
Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham’s run towards another studio album started on the eve of Christmas when the Toronto rapper released a single titled War, a wager to all of his enemies.
The song silently did the numbers but for an artist of Drake’s stature, the little buzz the song received was quite disappointing.
Call it strategy or luck but his follow-up appearance on Future’s Life is Good made all of War’s misses okay.
The song has been inching towards the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts since it dropped and just when we thought we’d gotten enough music, the pair leaked Desires on OVO’s (Drake’s record label) SoundCloud page.
This is easily one of the greatest songs to drop this year. A brazen statement to make two months into 2020 but the formula of the song on its own is a recipe for victory.
Watch: Drizzy seen shooting video in Marcy projects
It’s quite clear that Drake is getting ready to release his follow-up to Scorpion, the two-disc album that did not pack the sting we all anticipated.
Proof of the buzz around a new album was seen when footage leaked on social media, showing Drake posted up outside the Marcy projects in Bedford-Stuyvesant, home of Hip-Hop’s greatest MCs, including Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek and other New York kings.
The sound in the video is a bit fuzzy so it is not clear what the song the 6 god is shooting a video for but judging by the way he is styled and the location, we expect nothing less than a gully Drake.
