Half of the world has been confined in quarantine due to the rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Thankfully, we live in an age where we can easily immerse ourselves in virtual reality and escape the torment of cabin fever.
At the forefront of quarantine entertainment has been Tory Lanez. Instagram may have Lanez to thank for driving traffic and engagement on the platform.
Much of this has to do with the popularity of Quarantine Radio, Lanez’ themed Instagram Live feed that features the wildest twerk contests, celebrity pop-ins and hilarious bloopers.
It started out as a random check-in with his fans. Then, things just got out of hand! The fun was short-lived, though. Instagram was forced to step in and suspend the Canadian from broadcasting live on Instagram.

Surfing on the wave of hype he’s been riding for the better part of the last three weeks, Lanez packaged a mixtape and dropped New Toronto 3, seemingly out of the blue.
This project is the fifth and final effort by Lanez as an artist signed to a major label.
