Teyana Taylor officially announced her separation from her husband, Iman Shumpert. The singer took to Instagram to share a statement clarifying their relationship status.

In her statement, Taylor emphasised that their separation was not due to infidelity and that they remain the best of friends and great business partners.
The couple continues to excel as a team when it comes to co-parenting their two children. Taylor underlined that, above all, they are still a family.
Most importantly we are FAMILY & in the 10yrs together, 7yrs married we ain’t ever played with or about THAT,” she captioned.
The couple, known for their strong bond and partnership, had been together for a decade, with seven years of marriage.

Taylor expressed that they have navigated this decision privately, away from the public eye, and have managed it on their own terms.
“We just keep y’all a***s out the group chat lol, which is the reason we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise,” she added.
Taylor’s statement comes as a response to growing speculations about their relationship. She felt compelled to share this part of their journey to provide clarity on the matter.
“The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved. I hope this provided some clarity for y’all. Okay AunTey taking y’all back out the chat bye!” Taylor emphasised.
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s relationship had deep roots, as they first met in 2011.

However, they remained friends initially due to Taylor being in another relationship at the time. Their friendship gradually blossomed into a romantic connection in 2013.
Shumpert proposed to Taylor in 2015 during their baby shower at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland, Ohio.
The couple exchanged vows in 2016, cementing their commitment to each other. Together, they are parents to two daughters, Junie and Rue Rose.
Shumpert has yet to issue a response to Taylor’s statement.
