Nick Carter, renowned for his role in the iconic boyband Backstreet Boys, is now grappling with his third sexual assault lawsuit.
Nick Carter latest sexual assault lawsuit: Here’s what we know
The most recent lawsuit was filed in Las Vegas and accuses Carter of assaulting a 15-year-old girl on multiple occasions in 2003 when he was aged 22 and 23.
According to reports, the alleged victim, only identified in court papers as “A.R,” claims that Carter not only assaulted her but also demanded that she keep the abuse a secret.
The incidents in question reportedly occurred on Carter’s yacht and a tour bus, and the lawsuit further alleges that Carter provided alcohol and drugs to the minor, causing her to become intoxicated.
The lawsuit also contends that Carter infected the victim with HPV (Human Papillomavirus), a sexually transmitted infection that can cause genital warts and, much worse, cervical cancer.
The victim maintains that she reported the assaults to her mother, who subsequently approached the police.

However, Carter was never charged. The new lawsuit lists causes of action including “sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.”
This is not the first time Carter has faced such accusations.
In the past, Shannon “Shay” Ruth filed a lawsuit alleging that Carter sexually assaulted her when she was 17 and he was 21.
He was also accused of rape by singer Melissa Schuman, who filed a lawsuit against him in April 2023.
In an unusual development, Carter was allowed to countersue in the ‘A.R’ matter.
Carter, a member of the renowned Backstreet Boys, has previously ventured into solo music and television appearances.
His career, however, has been marred by the allegations and legal battles surrounding his alleged sexual misconduct.
