Floyd Mayweather has confirmed his return to boxing, after a three-year hiatus, on Instagram.
The 50-0, 15 world titlesholder, will be involved in an exhibition boxing match with YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul.
Floyd Mayweather confirms exhibition with Logan Paul
Yes, ladies and gents, you read that correctly. Money Mayweather will duke it out with a YouTube star on Saturday, 20 February 2021 in what’s expected to be a pay-per-view event that is sure to make them a whole lot of loot.
According to the Bleacher Report, this match-up has been in the works for quite a while. It’s believed Logan’s representatives reached out to Mayweather after his 2019 rematch against fellow YouTuber KSI, in which he lost in a split decision.
Since then, Logan has been taunting Mayweather on his platform, even going as far as claiming that in any scenario, be it a street fight, in an octagon or a boxing ring, he would “whoop [Mayweather’s ass”.
“Let me tell you this, if I caught Floyd in a real fight, street fight, whoop his ass! MMA? Octagon? Whoop his ass!”
In true Mayweather fashion, the rebuttal was eloquent and dangerous at the same time.
These YouTube girls better find some Barbie dolls to play with cause I’m not the one for the kid games. 3 years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that bitch. @loganpaul can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again.

This match-up, however incredulous it may be, is expected to be a big moneymaker, according to renowned sports insider Mike Coppinger.
Floyd Mayweather announces on Instagram that he’ll be involved in a boxing exhibition against Logan Paul on Feb. 20. Seriously. This has been in the works for a while. And yes, it’s going to make these guys a lot of money. The lead-up is going to drive a lot of people nuts pic.twitter.com/zCr0xSvcSM

Much like his brother Jake Paul, whose popularity has soared after he TKO’d Nate Robinson, Logan comes into this exhibition with the odds stacked against him.
For Mayweather, this is a warm-up to a major announcement expected in 2021. For Logan, it is a chance to piss off the bookies.
More details are expected in the following weeks.
