The artist took to social media to drop both the song and its accompanying music video, which features a special appearance by his son, Adonis.
The music video begins with a heartwarming interaction between Drake and his son, revolving around a piece of artwork created by Adonis.
As Adonis explained, the drawing depicts a goat with the inscription “Daddy” next to it, portraying Drake as the “Daddy Goat.” This tender father-son exchange sets the tone for the new single, hinting at the personal narratives that might unfold in Drake’s forthcoming album.
When is ‘For All The Dogs’ album dropping?
8 AM in Charlotte is anticipated to be a part of Drake’s much-awaited album, For All The Dogs, which is now slated for release on Friday, 6 October 2023.
Initially, the album was scheduled to hit the shelves on 22 September 2023, but Drake decided to postpone the launch to accommodate his ongoing tour commitments.
In a message to his fans, Drake expressed his dilemma: either to cancel shows to finish the album or to complete his tour and release the album before the last show.
He reassured fans that the delay is aimed at honouring all the tour dates, promising to create memorable experiences for his audience.
The revised release date of For All The Dogs is now aligned with the first of Drake’s two homecoming concerts in Toronto, scheduled for this Friday, while his tour is set to wrap up on Monday, 9 October 2023.
