ASAP Rocky faces serious allegations and on Wednesday, his former group mate ASAP Relli recounted a threatening encounter and subsequent gunfire in court.
ASAP Relli and Rocky face off in court: Here’s what happened
The courtroom in Los Angeles was tense as Terell Ephron, known as ASAP Relli, delivered his testimony against superstar rapper ASAP Rocky.
Two years after the alleged shooting, Relli recounted the escalation of their relationship, which soured as Rocky’s fame grew.
Ephron detailed an unfulfilled promise by Rocky to support a deceased Mob member’s family, which heightened tensions between the two.
Events culminated on 6 November 2021, when Rocky supposedly demanded a meeting with Ephron at a Los Angeles hotel. Ephron described a confrontation where Rocky, accompanied by several men, threatened him with a gun.
Although not immediately harmed, Ephron testified that he was shot four times by Rocky during a subsequent altercation, a claim supported by his testimony of a heated sensation in his hand.
Rolling Stone reports that grainy video footage presented in court could be crucial. Despite requiring enhancement, it depicted a scuffle among men at an intersection, ending with individuals dispersing rapidly, potentially indicative of the shooting Ephron described.
The legal strife extends beyond the assault allegations.
Ephron has also filed a defamation suit against Rocky and his attorney, Joe Tacopina. He accuses Tacopina of damaging his reputation through a media campaign, resulting in death threats.
Tacopina, dismissing the allegations, anticipates the lawsuit’s collapse, especially since the criminal case’s resolution is pending.
