The Roodepan police in Kimberley are urgently seeking the public’s help in locating four-year-old Precious Oliphant, who was kidnapped from Lerato Park informal settlement.
How Precious Oliphant was kidnapped
In a statement, Kimberley police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam revealed that the young girl was taken by unknown suspects in a distressing incident that occurred on Thursday, 27 July 2023.
According to witness accounts, Oliphant was in the company of her eight-year-old cousin when a motor vehicle pulled up beside them.
The occupants, described as a light-skinned man and a woman, reportedly lured the four-year-old with the promise of an R1 coin. Tragically, as Precious reached for the money, the suspects forcibly pulled her into the vehicle before speeding away from the scene.
The police are making a heartfelt appeal to the public, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in finding Precious Oliphant.
