Durban taxi war brews: ‘Baffled’ police launch manhunt for killing prominent boss
As reported by News24, the KwaZulu-Natal police have launched a manhunt in search of the assailants responsible for the heinous crime.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda, the victim had just exited an e-hailing vehicle when two unidentified gunmen ambushed her.
In a swift and devastating attack, they opened fire, causing her to fall back into the vehicle.
Paramedics from ALS (Advanced Life Support) arrived at the scene and assessed the victim, estimated to be in her late 60s.
Tragically, she had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her chest and head. Despite their best efforts, the paramedics were unable to revive her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Miraculously, the driver of the e-hailing vehicle escaped the ordeal unharmed.
