Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, points out that festivals like this are a big boost for local traders, especially during the festive season. And hey, it’s also a great place for those last-minute gift hunts!
“So remember, when you’re having a good time at the festival, you are also supporting local traders and our economy,” Vos said.
The Steenberg Festival is more than just a market or a music event. It’s a gathering spot for families and friends, offering a range of activities throughout the day.
Whether you’re there to groove to the live music, browse through the stalls, or just soak in the festive vibes, there’s something for everyone.
Remember, by joining in the fun, you’re also supporting local businesses.
Studies suggest that spending money at small businesses helps keep more cash flowing within the community. So, while you’re out there having a blast, you’re also doing your bit for the local economy.
