The talented Xhosa folk singer known as Bongeziwe Mabandla, blessed many with the beautiful music video to his standout track ‘Masiziyekelele‘, coming off his well praised iimini album.
Masiziyekelele: A breakdown of the video
Mabandla sets the scene while standing in the middle of a rocky path being swamped by large beautiful trees, green lawns and autumn leaves having only his trusted guitar on him.
He slowly proceeds to play the chords of his guitar, creating a build up to his eventual display of his beautiful vocal singing ability bringing us a soul-stirring love song about two lovers wanting to let go of everything and finally becoming one.
The music video, directed and edited by Tiago Correia-Paulo, was filmed in the well known Nirox Sculpture Park situated in the famous Cradle of Humankind in Johannesburg hence why the scene was so pristine and perfect with Mabandla’s crunches on the rocky road and the birds chirping in the background being easily heard adding that extra touch of beauty to the music video.
