Kanye West lost access to his Twitter account after a series of fiery tweets and the ‘blue bird’ boss Elon Musk has offered a reason behind the controversial decision.
Why was Kanye West Twitter account suspended?
Ye, formerly known as Kanye, set the internet on fire following his polarising rhetoric on a recent Infowars live stream with Sandy Hook denialist Alex Jones. The Hurricane hitmaker sent tongues wagging when he made several disturbing utterances about his presidential campaign, the Jewish community and Adolf Hitler.
Not only did Ye regurgitate the Holocaust scepticism of his presidential campaign manager and renowned white supremacist Nicholas Fuentes, but the iconic producer also categorically declared his love for Hitler.
Responding to Jones’ attempt to steer Ye away from, perhaps, the most controversial moment of his career, the Yeezy founder said:
“Well, I see good things about Hitler also. I love everyone. And Jewish people are not going to tell me you can love us, and you can love what we’re doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we’re pushing with the pornography. You can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good, and I’m done with that. Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler. Also Hitler was born Christian,” Ye exclaimed.
Ye, who recently finalised his divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian, continued his tirade on Twitter, sending social media into an uproar with a series of tweets, one of which may have placed NBA player Chris Paul in a precarious position with his wife.
In one of his tweets that, more than anything, lacked context, Ye claimed he caught CP3 with Kim. Thereafter, the Waves rapper poked fun at Elon Musk with the viral picture of the Twitter boss on a yacht with the Jewish media magnate Ari Emanuel.
According to Musk, this is not the tweet that led to Ye’s suspension. Instead, Musk explained in a tweet response, Kanye West’s suspension from Twitter came when he tweeted a picture of his presidential campaign logo, which showed a swastika wedged inside the Star of David.
In Musk’s view, the tweet was an incitement of violence and for that reason, Kanye West could no longer be allowed on Twitter.
“Just clarifying that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering pic of me being hosed by Ari. Frankly, I found those pics to be helpful motivation to lose weight!” Musk tweeted.
