Fans of Donald Glover (A.K.A Childish Gambino) have been left scratching their heads after the star discreetly released a ton of new music via live stream.
The entire world has been fixated with the frenzy around the vastly spreading coronavirus (COVID-19).
Sporting and cultural events around the world have been cancelled, or pushed back, to avoid largescale crowd gatherings.
In mid-to-high-risk countries like the United States and South Africa, supermarkets are struggling to meet the escalating demand for sanitary supplies.
At a time where social distancing is a top priority in everyone’s mind, Donald Glover thought it was the perfect opportunity to release new music.
Did Donald Glover really release a surprise album?
Except, no one would know about it.
There is a certain mystery that stars of Glover’s calibre lust after.
Some could argue that it’s highly inconvenient and equally unnecessary but it achieved its purpose.
Fans were awestruck when they were treated with a link to a live stream where unheard music from Donald Glover was playing.
According to the good folks over at Hip-Hop-N-More, this was the rollout of the This Is America star’s upcoming album which, at this time, is untitled.
On Sunday, tweeps were led to a webpage called David Glover Presents.
On entering the site, fans were met by a bizarre-looking sketch with the word ‘cover’ written on the top left side of the picture and music playing.
This image and all of the music that was playing has been scrapped from the site.
All that is left is a plain white background with the words ‘Donald Glover Presents‘ in a pale font.

At this time, neither Donald Glover nor his management team — or the artists featured in the music — has made any comments in response to what transpired online on Sunday.
A standout song from what was streamed seems to be Vibrate featuring 21 Savage and a singer thought to be SZA.
The song was uploaded on YouTube but its presence was shortlived.
Right now, it is a waiting game with no clues as to when this album will drop, a fitting description of Glover’s persona.
