The deadly car accident that took place at a congested intersection in Windsor Hills, Los Angeles, claimed six lives and left at least seven victims with serious injuries.

Windsor Hills crash: Here’s how it happened
As reported by ABC7, a black Mercedes Benz coupe driving at insane speeds was the cause of the deadly crash that took place at the corners of La Brea and Slauson Avenue at approximately 13:30 PDT (19:00 CAT) on Thursday, 4 August 2022.
CCTV cameras from a business situated near the intersection caught footage of the disturbing moment the coupe rammed into several cars, effectively claiming multiple lives.
From what’s shown in the CCTV footage, it was a normal afternoon at the La Brea, Slauson Ave four-way stop, with traffic moving west through the intersection. Then, out of the blue, a black Mercedes was seen zapping into frame at frightening speeds and slammed into multiple vehicles.
The vehicles skidded through the intersection and caught fire before crashing to a halt at a nearby petrol station. According to reports, at least three vehicles were involved in the deadly Windsor Hills crash.
Later on Thursday, LA officials confirmed six victims lost their lives in the crash, while seven survivors, some as young as five months, were rushed to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening wounds.
Part of the Windsor Hills crash death toll included a pregnant woman, an infant and three adults. The driver of the Mercedes, a woman believed to be in her 40s, miraculously survived the incident and, at the time this article was published, was recovering in hospital.
The unidentified woman could potentially face multiple criminal charges related to the deadly accident. As things stand, the matter is under investigation and the woman is being interviewed to determine the cause of her erratic driving.
