An unidentified woman was caught on camera attempting to take her life at Snell Parade, in Durban, on Saturday.

Video footage of the incident surfaced on social media, showing the harrowing moments that led to the woman’s leap off the sixth floor of a high-rise building at Durban’s popular beachfront this past weekend.
Onlookers watched on in horror as the unidentified woman stood on the windowpane for about 35 seconds before she took the jump, crashing into a veranda on her way down.

In a statement posted on social media, emergency firm Medi Response confirmed the incident took place on Saturday morning. Medical officials were called to the scene of the suicide attempt at Snell Parade and, fortunately, the unidentified woman showed vital signs of life.
“Medi Response and Citi Med paramedics worked to stabilise the critical patient. The woman was transported to hospital in a critical condition, for further care,” Medi Response wrote.
The identity of the woman and her condition remains unknown, at this time.
