Fikile Mbalula is trending on social media after a video clip surfaced of the bare-chested transport minister in a heated conversation with an unidentified male, where he affirmed his support for President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Watch: Minister Mbalula caught on ‘spy cam’ topless
The viral video clip has since done the rounds on social media and many viewers were left intrigued by the minister’s choice of words when defending his president.
While it is unclear what the conversation between Mbalula and the unidentified male seen in the clip was about, the transport minister was heard warning his mate to “stop talking s***t about Cyril [Ramaphosa].”
Both men were seated on a sofa, topless, with bottles of red wine and MCC on the table. Therefore, one could reasonable assume this was lightweight banter between two comrades.
The identity of the person who leaked the intimate moment is still unknown at this time.
Here is the short viral clip that’s got social media buzzing:

While these light jabs between two friends may have been misconstrued by those who shared the above-embedded video, there is clearly no love lost between Mbalula and his former comrade Carl Niehaus, the ex-communicated spokesperson of the disbanded Umkhonto Wesizwe (MKMVA).
The Twitter ‘twar’ of words between the two ANC leaders captivated an audience on Tuesday when Niehaus, seemingly unprovoked, sent jabs at Mbalula for his questionable association with National Lotteries Commission (NLC) chief operating officer Phillemon Letwaba.
Minister @MbalulaFikile called me all kinds of names, and falsely accused me of Prasa tenders. All blatant lies, which I'm dealing with in two ongoing defamation lawsuits.

Can he explain what's going on here? Talking about living in a glass house … https://t.co/qhQp2vSEJi
This invitation was gladly accepted by the transport minister who, we will say, was more than enthusiastic about sparring with Niehaus. These are some of the hard-hitting shots the two political leaders traded.
Eish, is your wife looking for funeral tenders again? pic.twitter.com/A2NJ9Czkud

ANC renewal and unity is in my considered view without a Carl Nieghous.

While Prasa and Metrorail trains are standing still with no railway tracks, roads littered with potholes; a certain clueless Minister is having a Twitter meltdown about me – instead of doing his job for millions of commuters. Talk about gross incompetence! pic.twitter.com/37eFSwwvY2
