KZN’s emergency medical services (EMS) spokesperson Robert McKenzie confirmed that multiple paramedic teams were on scene tending to victims of the crash.
“There are reports of multiple fatalities and injuries. EMS are on scene treating patients with additional help on the way,” he said.
At this time, it is feared that the Ladysmith bus crash death toll may increase, as scores of victims with serious injuries were rushed to nearby medical centres for life-saving treatments.
