Passengers of the high-speed express commuter were left without answers when, suddenly, the locomotive carrying travellers headed to OR Tambo Airport to catch flights screeched to a halt between Midrand and Marlboro.
Commuters, with no assurance from Gautrain, took to social media to vent their frustrations with the below-par service of a train touted to operate at world-class standards.
While a statement has yet to surface, the public transit provider’s social media team have been responding to frustrated commuters, confirming that Gautrain is “currently experiencing a delay of approximately 30 minutes on the North-South line.”
“Our technical staff is attending to the issue. We do apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the blanket response to every frustrated user reads.
