The City of Tshwane has been lauded on social media for adopting a strict approach to debt collections.
City of Tshwane cuts off water and power of these debtors
The Gauteng metro kicked off the first phase of its revenue collection campaign with ferocious vigour.
Debtors, including government departments, civic organisations and commercial businesses, faced the prospect of losing connection to water and electricity for failing to honour payment arrangements.
On Wednesday, the #CoTRevenueCollections campaign continued with prominent establishments targeted for disconnection.
The Department of Higher Education on Francis Baard Street, was high on the list with an undisclosed debt amount not paid.

Club Crossing Shopping Centre was also included on the list for owing the City of Tshwane R2.4 million in water and electricity. We contacted the shopping centre for a statement. However, a response was not received at the time this article was published.
