The reality TV show confirmed it is investigating a deeply troubling conversation between the two, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.
The incident unfolded following a Thursday pool party, with the housemates apparently inebriated.
In a conversation caught on camera, Bravo B and Makhekhe were heard discussing plans to take advantage of female housemates who were drunk.
Disturbingly, Mahkhekhe is quoted saying, “Let’s f**k Liema first, she’s drunk,” with Bravo B concurring and suggesting Mpum as their next target.
This conversation has sparked outrage among viewers and social media users, with many calling for the immediate disqualification of both Bravo B and Makhekhe from the show.
Comments ranged from expressions of disgust to demands for action against the pair for their unacceptable behaviour.
In response to the uproar, BBMzansi issued a statement, acknowledging awareness of the incident and confirming that an investigation is underway.
“We are aware of the incident that transpired in the early hours of this morning in the Big Brother Mzansi house. We are currently investigating this matter and will provide an update in due course,” the show’s official X account posted.
The seriousness of the allegations cannot be overstated. In a country grappling with high rates of gender-based violence, such comments, especially on a public platform like BBMzansi, are not only inappropriate but potentially dangerous.
Bravo B, whose real name is Lindokuhle Nsele, is a 29-year-old from KwaNongoma in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
He entered the show aiming to inspire people from his background, stating:
“Everybody deserves a spotlight.”
Makhekhe, real name Tshepo Tau, is a 28-year-old from the East Rand in Johannesburg.
He joined the show without a specific strategy, choosing to “be me.”
As the investigation proceeds, fans and critics alike will be watching closely to see how the show addresses this serious matter.
