Florida‘s theme park scene is about to get a whole lot more epic with Universal Orlando’s newest addition, Epic Universe.
Epic Universe theme park: Here’s everything you need to know
This highly anticipated theme park, sprawling over a 750-acre site and a stone’s throw away from Universal Orlando’s current theme park campus, is poised to redefine the theme park experience with its grand opening set for 2025.
At the heart of Epic Universe is Celestial Park, a world that brings the heavens down to earth with acres of rolling gardens, shimmering waterways, and pathways that lead to adventure. Epic Universe, Universal Orlando’s newest theme park in Florida, set to open in 2025, promises an adventure with themed worlds, thrilling rides, and unique dining experiences.
It’s more than just a pretty face; it’s the gateway to four additional, uniquely themed worlds, each offering its brand of thrills and wonders.
For starters, there’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. Here, magic comes alive in an all-new land blending 1920s wizarding Paris with the iconic British Ministry of Magic.
Then there’s Super Nintendo World, a gamer’s paradise where you can step into the worlds of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong.
How to Train Your Dragon fans will be thrilled with the Isle of Berk, a colourful world of Viking adventures and dragon soaring. And if you’re into a darker, more mysterious vibe, the Dark Universe is your go-to, with everything from Dr Victoria Frankenstein’s experiments to a landscape where monsters roam.
Celestial Park isn’t just a pretty sight; it’s an experience in itself.
Starfall Racers, a dual-launch racing coaster, promises an adrenaline rush with its 62 mph speeds and 133-foot heights. Constellation Carousel, a unique ride through the Milky Way, and Astronomica, an interactive wet-play area, add to the park’s charm.
Foodies and shoppers, you haven’t been forgotten. From Atlantic’s surf and turf inside a Victorian aquarium to The Blue Dragon’s Pan-Asian cuisine, there’s something for every palate.
And for those who love to shop, you’ll find an array of unique retail locations, including the Nintendo Super Star Store and Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.
Epic Universe also houses the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, offering guests a unique experience where the heavens and earth unite, complete with 500 rooms and its own dedicated theme park entrance.
As we inch closer to its opening, which is slated for 2025, Universal plans to unveil an interactive preview centre at Universal CityWalk later this year, offering a sneak peek at the new theme park.
For theme park enthusiasts, the wait for Epic Universe is almost over, and it’s shaping up to be an adventure like no other.
