Bonginkosi ‘Zola 7‘ Dlamini is still receiving positive karmic energy and this time around, the iconic musician has been announced as the headliner of the first-ever Kwaito Legends Festival.
Zola 7 to headline Kwaito music festival
In what turned out to be a life-changing month, the 47-year-old returned to the live event circuit for the first time in what feels like eons, and his next gig is at The Bears Palace (also known as Carolina Resort), in Mpumalanga.
You will remember that earlier in March, a video clip showing the frail-looking Zola made the rounds, causing a wave of panic over the Mdlwembe star’s health.
Celebrities like Dr Shauwn MamKhize came out in support of the 47-year-old, and we believe the consequence of that encounter may lend credence to the newfound popularity Zola currently enjoys among event promoters.
in a statement, organisers confirmed Zola 7 will be headlining a line-up of legacy acts that include:
- Mapaputsi;
- Jakarumba;
- Professor;
- Alaska;
- Spikiri;
- Doc Shebeleza;
- Mdu Masilela;
- General from Chiskop; and others
Zola confirmed the booking in a video he posted on social media, calling on his fans to purchase tickets to the event at CompuTicket.
