It’s in times like these that our favourite artists are needed and Nadia Nakai certainly heeded the call from her fans who, like all of us, are in lockdown.
Artists from all walks of life have been using their gifted talents as a form of distraction from the chaos reeked by the rapidly spreading coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

These other virtual parties have kept South Africans entertained
While Family Tree’s first lady did not confirm an exact date of the next virtual concert, she did indicate that there will be a ‘next time’.
We are constantly scouring social media for impromptu updates from celebrities on their plans to host online music experiences. Thus far, the most successful online event has been PH and Shimza’s online house party.
It started out as a live stream event but garnered so much engagement on social media that Channel O and Hunters Cider swooped in and syndicated the event.
Now, fans from across the country will be kept entertained by live DJ sets from Mzansi’s top-tier talent on Fridays and Saturdays, from 18:00 until midnight on Channel O (320 on DStv).
MTV Base (channel 322 on DStv) has also stepped in with its very own online party. Alone Together is an idea that was ripped from the online house party.
On Saturday 28 March, the show debuted with performances from the likes of DJ Tira and Speedsta.
