As per TMZ, Lacy was on his Give You The World Tour when he interrupted his performance to tell the crowd to stop throwing things onto the stage.
Following that, Lacy asked for a fan’s phone in the front row before smashing it into the ground and leaving the stage. Attendees who posted a video of the incident on TikTok reported that Lacy was angry with the crowd because not only did they supposedly not know his songs, but New Orleans fans were also unruly.
Lacy, however, returned to the stage afterwards and finished out the encore.

Since then, more clips of the Give You the World tour have been circulating on social media. In one, a fan screams out during a silent moment, “Can you say hi to my mom?” To which Lacy replies:
“Can you be quiet?” and immediately jumps into a song.
Lacy took to his Instagram to share his thoughts on the incident. He noted that he could have handled the situation better but will not apologise to anyone.
“Shoutout to the people not throwing disposable cameras at me and just coming to catch a vibe and connect,” Lacy wrote.
“I don’t believe i owe anyone an apology- maybe i couldve reacted better? sure. always. i’m a student of life. but i’m a real person with real feelings and real reactions,” he added.
Not just Lacy but other musicians have recently expressed displeasure with concertgoers’ actions. In a tweet sent out on Sunday, Pusha T also pleaded with his followers to refrain from attempting to join him on stage when he performs.
