Eastern Cape
In the west, expect partly cloudy and cool weather, but cloudy along the coast with isolated evening showers and rain. The interior will be warmer. Coastal winds will be light to moderate south-westerly. Conversely, in the east, the coast will be cloudy with scattered showers and rain; elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy and cool with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. Free State
The day will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.
Gauteng
Expect partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. The UVB sunburn index is high.
KwaZulu-Natal
Morning fog in the interior will give way to partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers. However, expect scattered showers and rain along the coast. The north-west will be very hot. Coastal winds will be north-easterly, turning south-westerly south of Durban by evening, spreading to Richards Bay. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
Limpopo
Foggy in the morning along the escarpment, then cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers. The south-west will be partly cloudy.
Mpumalanga
Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment. Elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy, warm to hot, with isolated showers and more scattered thundershowers in the east and along the escarpment.
North West
Expect partly cloudy weather, warm to hot temperatures, and isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.
Northern Cape
Along the coast, conditions will be cool, but elsewhere it will be fine and warm to hot, with very hot temperatures in the extreme east. The northeast will see partly cloudy skies with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. Coastal winds will be fresh to strong southerly to southeasterly.
Western Cape
The south and extreme east will be partly cloudy; elsewhere, it will be fine and warm to hot, but cooler along the coast with a chance of light rain. Coastal winds will be southerly to south-easterly, strengthening along the south-west coast by afternoon. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
