Eastern Cape
In the west, the morning will be cloudy in places, turning partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated thundershowers in the northeast. Coastal winds will be light south-easterly, turning south-westerly overnight.
In the east, expect morning fog over high-lying areas, then cloudy and cool weather with isolated showers and thundershowers, scattered in the north. Coastal winds will be light north-easterly.
Free State
The forecast is cloudy and cool to warm, with widespread showers and thundershowers in the east, and scattered to isolated showers elsewhere.
Gauteng
Expect cloudy and cool weather with widespread showers and thundershowers. The UVB sunburn index will be very high.
KwaZulu-Natal
Morning fog is expected over the interior, followed by cloudy and cool weather, cold in the west. Widespread showers and thundershowers are anticipated, scattered in the south. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, becoming north-easterly from the south by the afternoon. The UVB sunburn index is low.
Limpopo
Morning fog is expected along the escarpment, with the rest of the province experiencing cloudy and warm weather, but cooler temperatures in central areas. Widespread showers and thundershowers are predicted.
Mpumalanga
The day will start with morning fog along the escarpment and in the southwest, later turning cloudy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers.
North West
The region will be cloudy and cool to warm, with widespread showers and thundershowers in the extreme east, otherwise scattered to isolated.
Northern Cape
The province will be fine and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east where it will be partly cloudy. Coastal winds will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.
Western Cape
The morning will be partly cloudy in the north-eastern parts, otherwise fine and warm, turning hot along the west coast. The south coast will be cooler with isolated evening showers in the south-west. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly, strong along the west and south-west coast, turning westerly to north-westerly along the south coast in the evening. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
