Eastern Cape
In the west, the day will be fine and warm, turning hot in places over the interior. The afternoon will bring partly cloudy conditions, but cloudiness will increase along the coast with evening rain expected. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
In the east, the area will be partly cloudy and warm with afternoon showers along the escarpment and night-time fog expected south of the escarpment. Winds along the coast will be moderate to fresh and south-westerly.
Free State
The province can expect fine weather, turning warm to hot. Partly cloudy conditions are expected in the east, along with isolated showers and thundershowers.
Gauteng
The region will see partly cloudy skies with warm weather. Residents should be mindful of the very high UVB sunburn index.
KwaZulu-Natal
A partly cloudy and warm day is in store, with isolated showers and thundershowers. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly, shifting south-westerly from the south in the afternoon. The UVB sunburn index remains high.
Limpopo
The day will be partly cloudy, ranging from warm to hot temperatures, and isolated showers and thundershowers are expected, except in the extremely hot Western Bushveld.
Mpumalanga
Expect morning fog patches, followed by partly cloudy conditions. The weather will be cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, and hotter temperatures in the Lowveld.
North West
The area will experience fine weather with temperatures ranging from hot to very hot.
Northern Cape
Coastal areas will start with cloudy conditions, clearing to fine weather that will be warm to hot, and very hot in some eastern interior places. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh and south-easterly.
Western Cape
The forecast predicts cloudy to partly cloudy conditions along the coast, with the rest of the province being fine and warm. Light rain is expected over the extreme southwestern parts from the afternoon, spreading east along the south coast and adjacent interior by the evening. The wind will be light to moderate south-westerly, turning fresh south-easterly along the south and south-west coast in the afternoon. The UVB sunburn index is high.
