Eastern Cape
In the west, the coast will be cloudy, while the rest of the region will be partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and rain in the south. Light westerly winds are expected along the coast in the morning, turning to light to moderate southeasterly.
In the east, the western interior will be cold, while the rest of the region will be partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon thundershowers, but isolated in the north-west. Coastal areas will experience light to moderate south-westerly winds, becoming moderate to fresh south-easterly from late morning.
Free State
Partly cloudy skies and cool to warm temperatures are in the forecast, with scattered afternoon thundershowers. The western region will experience isolated thundershowers.
Gauteng
Expect partly cloudy and warm weather, but it will be hot in places in the north. Scattered afternoon thundershowers are forecasted. The UVB sunburn index will be extreme.
KwaZulu-Natal
Expect morning fog over the interior, then cloudy and cool but warm in the north. Scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers are predicted. Coastal winds will be moderate southerly to south-westerly. The UVB sunburn index is moderate.
Limpopo
The day will start cloudy, then become partly cloudy and warm to hot. Scattered afternoon and evening thundershowers are expected, but they will be isolated in the east, where it will be very hot in places.
Mpumalanga
The morning will be cloudy, transitioning to partly cloudy and warm conditions with scattered afternoon and evening thundershowers. The north-east will be hot and have isolated thundershowers.
North West
The western parts will be hot, while the rest of the province will be partly cloudy and warm with scattered afternoon thundershowers.
Northern Cape
Generally fine and warm to hot conditions, with cool temperatures along the coast. The eastern interior will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated thundershowers in the far east. Coastal areas can expect moderate to fresh south-easterly winds, becoming strong in the afternoon.
Western Cape
The morning will be cloudy over the interior and south coast, then partly cloudy to fine and cool to warm for the rest of the day. The west coast will experience hot temperatures. Coastal winds will be light to moderate south-easterly, strengthening along the west coast in the afternoon. The UVB sunburn index is extreme.
