Rex Orange County, whose real name is Alexander O’Connor, has been charged with six counts of sexual assault in London, UK. He denied the accusations in an appearance before Southwark Crown Court in London on Monday, 10 October 2022.

As per BuzzFeed News, the Pluto Projector singer was accused of assaulting a woman twice on 1 June 2022 in London’s West End. He allegedly went on to assault her four times the following day, including once in a taxi and three times in his Notting Hill residence.
According to reports, the woman is older than 16.
On Monday, O’Connor made an appearance at Southwark Crown Court. He was granted unconditional bail after entering a not-guilty plea to each of the six counts.
The provisional trial date has been set for 3 January 2023.
Orange County decided to postpone his upcoming tour dates in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe in July 2022 after learning of “unforeseen personal issues” that would force him to “spend some time at home this year” and prevent him from “continuing with travelling as planned.”
“This is the last thing I want to do,” Rex wrote. “I love touring and I am so sorry to be letting anyone down. I look forward to getting back to it as soon as I can.”
However, he has not publicly commented on the matter.

Alexander James O’Connor was born on 4 May 1998 in the village of Grayshott along the border of Hampshire. He rose to prominence online in 2015 thanks to his independently produced album bcos u will never b free. At the time, Orange County was still a teenager. With 2017’s Apricot Princess, he expanded his sound, building on his viral success.
The record made it into Billboard‘s ‘Top 10 Independent Albums’ chart, opening the door for his even more ambitious, jazz-influenced 2019 album PONY. In addition, Orange County’s released his fourth album, Who Cares, in 2022.
