Revered songstress Msaki has been thrust into a cheating scandal involving 5FM radiocaster Similo ‘Smash Afrika’ Mdutyulwa and his wife Kefiloe Chuene, daughter of on-screen legend Rami.
Msaki cheating scandal exposed: Here’s everything we know
Social media has been abuzz with speculation since Sunday World published an exclusive about the Nangomso hitmaker’s alleged love affair with Smash Afrika.
According to an anonymous source only identified as a close relative of Chuene, Msaki has allegedly been embroiled in a steamy affair with the radio jockey, knowing full and well that Smash has been married to Chuene since 2020.
While Rami’s daughter has been mummed by a protection order and thus unable to provide more clarity on the allegations, her relative candidly revealed explosive details of the sordid affair between Smash and Msaki.
The love letter Msaki allegedly wrote to Smash Afrika
According to the source, Chuene, after allegedly enduring years of emotional and psychological abuse from Smash, stumbled on photos of her husband locking lips with the songstress, and letters supposedly written by the Mntakababa hitmaker, where she professed her undying love for the 5FM jockey.
In one of the love letters, Msaki reportedly wrote:
“The box represents a commitment to loving you ravishngly and holding communication, honesty, transparency in high regard between us. As you know, I shut down my previous relationship. I want you to know that I tend to fill this box, reflections, questions about us/you/me (sic).”
Moreover, not only did Smash Afrika reportedly admit to the affair with Msaki, but he also allegedly told her that “unlike her (Kefiloe), Msaki makes him happy and gives him peace.”
Here’s why Kefiloe Chuene can’t speak up
From what we understand, the 5FM jockey and his wife have been living apart since the birth of their child. Neither Smash Afrika nor Msaki has addressed the speculation.
In a statement quoted by Sunday World, Kefiloe noted that she was unable to provide clarity on the Msaki cheating scandal due to an active protection order.
“There is a protection order which prohibits me from talking to the media about these matters, but I will speak out one day,” she said.
