Reality star Michelle ‘Mphowabadimo’ Mvundla has turned to her lawyers for consultation on how to deal with the mounting death threats she’s allegedly received from fans who refuse to come to terms with the end of her relationship with Themba Broly.
Mphowabadimo posts ‘death threats’ from Themba Broly fans
In a statement, the Big Brother Mzansi Season 3 winner revealed she was still reeling from the aftereffects of her epic breakup with Broly.
Mphowabadimo, who is expecting Broly’s baby, sent shockwaves reverberating across social media when she claimed she’s “been receiving death threats from calls, to texts threatening my life and son’s life till today.”
“Those threats have been direct and it has created a very hostile situation for me and those close to me. I’ve been receiving pictures of my car, home and son with threats,” she said.
To illustrate her claims, Mphowabadimo shared a screenshot of a disturbing comment she received from a user named ‘lebo6_3’, where they categorically wished “that baby you are carrying dies because our King doesn’t deserve the humiliation you brought to his life and that bastard in our family.”
“We know your house, car and where your son goes to school, we will find you and we will not rest until you have fallen from your high horse. Are you even going to make it to Maputo [since you look like you’re about to give birth]?” the user wrote.
More shocking, Mphowabadimo added that she’s received threats of this nature from people close to Themba Broly.
“I have been in talks with my lawyer and I’m seeking further advice and will not be doing any media interviews about my past relationship until this has been resolved legally. I am trying so hard to move away from this chapter but the defamation that has come with it hasn’t been pleasant to the extent of threats leading to my unborn baby, son and myself,” she said.
Last week, Mphowabadimo made headlines when she surfaced on social media to confirm her separation from Broly after dating for less than a year.
The couple went public with their relationship after participating in BBMzansi, where Mphowabadimo rose to the helm as the Season 3 winner.
However, the fairytale relationship fell apart soon after Mphowabadimo fell pregnant.
In a YouTube vlog she posted last week, the reality star told her fans she was moving out of her apartment since she’s single again “so this place has just become a keeper of memories I want to leave behind.”
