Famous music producer Mondli Ngcobo has had his name dragged through the mud by his ex and baby momma, Mandy Malebo, over his monthly R1 500 child support contributions.
Watch: Mandy Malebo blasts Mondli Ngcobo as ‘deadbeat’ dad
Malebo, a cosmetics specialist and social media influencer, turned to her 118K Instagram followers to share the recent traumas she has endured, allegedly at the hands of the father of her child.
A teary Malebo claimed on Instagram Live that she ended her relationship with Kelly Khumalo’s music producer when she was still pregnant “because he just became worse after finding out we’re gonna have a child.”
The makeup artist also blasted Ngcobo for only ever seeing their son, two-year-old Khanya, once and apparently using the R1 500 in child support he contributes as an excuse for his absence.
“Mondli refuses to help me pay for an apartment. While I take care of our child. I am not able to focus on my work fully while raising a child by myself. My mom doesn’t always help me. I don’t get much time to be by myself and work on my many issues because I have little support,” Malebo wrote.

Ngcobo has kept away from the online furore sparked by his former lover. However, commenters, for the most part, have backed the producer, claiming that the monthly contributions he makes were more than enough to raise a child.
Moreover, social media ‘sherlocks’ dug up not-so-old videos of Malebo praising Ngcobo for being a supportive father to her son.

However, according to the cosmetics specialist, her praise was an act of desperation to get Ngcobo to be a present father.
“I’ve always tried to get him to be a father so my words towards him were positive because I hoped and begged him over and over to be a father. You think if I was already, at the point, ‘befok’ I would’ve said all those nice things about him?” she exclaimed.
