The ascension of Ndivhudzannyi ‘Makhadzi’ Ralivhona continues to break new ground and on Wednesday, the Limpopo’s songstress’ fans were left in awe when she confirmed she has an upcoming collaboration with Cassper Nyovest.
Makhadzi collab with Cassper Nyovest: What we know
The two artists are worlds apart in the genres of music they specialise in. Makhadzi is leading a wave of Limpopo music that borrows heavily from Amapiano and Tsonga notes.
The songstress’ music is revered by many of her fans and very rarely have we seen her outside of this comfort zone.
Nyovest, on the other hand, is a lot more adventurous. The ‘Motswako’ star solidified his name as a leading entertainer with a number of Hip-Hop albums but more recently, he’s thrown his weight behind Amapiano and his latest album Sweet and Short 2.0 is testament to his versatility.
It leaves one wondering what the two stars could have possibly conjured up in the studio when they met. According to Makhadzi, it won’t be long until we hear something.
I have learnt a lot from you @casspernyovest keep shining I can’t wait to drop my album so that my people can listen to our song. AFRICAN FRICAN queen https://t.co/qye9EULdo6 pic.twitter.com/wA7iLcpYjo

When is Makhadzi album dropping?
The success of Kokovha has prompted a great deal of demand for Makhadzi to meet fans expectation of a new album and by the looks of it, we may not be too far away from receiving it.
Already, the Limpopo songstress has a song out on heavy rotation. The controversial story behind Ghanama has helped its ascension to the summit of many radio playlists and this, albeit bad for her press image, is exactly what Makhadzi needs to ramp up anticipation for her new album.
Thus far, all we have on the star’s upcoming project is that it is slated to drop sometime this year. No exact details on the release schedule have slipped through the cracks at this time.
However, we do know, thanks to Makhadzi’s relentless teasing on social media, that the album will most likely feature guest appearances from Nyovest, Zozo and Prince Benza.
