Drake took to his Instagram Stories to make the announcement, tagging Kabza, whose real name is Kabelo Motha, along with two other producers who will be joining him on the tour.
The Canadian rapper expressed his confidence in the team, stating that the show would be executively produced by Ovo40 and BNYX, with additional production by Kabza De Small.
Not too long ago, Kabza faced criticism from fans, some of whom accused his management of not capitalising on his superstardom by venturing into the international market.
Sure enough, with fewer words and more action, Kabza dismantled the narrative that was shaping around his brand with a premium, top-billing co-sign.

Drake kicks off ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour: Here are the highlights so far
Grammy-winning rapper Drake kicked off his highly anticipated ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour with a mesmerising performance at Chicago’s United Centre on Wednesday, 5 July 2023.
The energetic show marked Drake’s return to North America for a series of live performances, following his ‘Aubrey & the Three Migos’ tour in 2018.
Opening the night with his introspective track Look What You’ve Done, Drake captivated the audience from a couch, appearing to recite the heartfelt lyrics from a notebook.
The concert setlist, comprising over 50 songs, spanned the rapper’s illustrious career, featuring iconic hits such as Marvin’s Room, HYFR, God’s Plan, and Search & Rescue, which notably incorporated a sample from Kim Kardashian.
Drake commanded the stage atop a colossal platform that projected larger-than-life images onto a screen, creating a visually stunning backdrop that showcased everything from floating sperm to captivating headlines.
Amidst his electric performance, Drake offered a tantalising glimpse into his upcoming project, teasing the crowd with the announcement,
“I have an album coming out soon for y’all.”
Notably, during the concert, Drake surprised the audience with a cover of Ginuwine’s hit song So Anxious, when a phone was unexpectedly thrown at him.
Displaying his professionalism, the Canadian rapper continued singing as he watched the device harmlessly fall to the ground, causing no interruption to the show.
Adding an element of surprise and controversy, Drake took a subtle jab at fellow artist Childish Gambino during a tour visual that read, “The overrated and over-awarded hit song ‘This Is America‘ was originally a Drake diss record.”
A highlight of the night came when Drake welcomed rapper 21 Savage to the stage, entering to Fantasia’s When I See U.
The duo delivered an unforgettable performance, treating the audience to a series of collaborative tracks, including Spin Bout U, Jimmy Crooks, and Rich Flex from their joint album, Her Loss.
Before the tour commenced, Drake released a thought-provoking tour trailer that delved into existential themes.
Reflecting on his fears, the rapper shared a contemplative moment, expressing his concern that all his achievements could potentially amount to nothing.
This introspective glimpse into his mindset provided a deeper insight into Drake’s artistic journey and his drive to create meaningful music.
Following the successful shows in Chicago, Drake will continue his tour with a performance at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena.
