On Thursday, Midrand was rocked by a tragic helicopter crash. Images of the crash surfaced online, showing the aftermath of the incident.
The metadata on these images indicates the crash happened around 18:33. As of now, the status of any survivors remains unclear, heightening the anxiety surrounding the incident.
This recent crash bears a striking resemblance to an earlier helicopter crash in Midrand, which occurred in June 2020, where two individuals tragically lost their lives.
ER24 paramedics, arriving shortly after 17:00, discovered the helicopter had already been engulfed in flames, which the fire department had extinguished.
The helicopter was found on the road, lying on its side. A subsequent assessment by paramedics revealed two fatalities, with both individuals declared dead at the scene.
