Jabulani ‘Sjava’ Hadebe, probably against the advice of his legal representatives, came forth and broke his silence on the rape and abuse claims lodged against him by his former lover Lady Zamar.
Sjava speaks on Zamar rape claims: What he said
The 1020 Cartel label owner found himself with his back against the wall and with no other choice but to confront the rape allegations Zamar made in early March 2020.
How Sjava courted Zamar
In the 13-minute long video he posted on social media, Sjava went into detail about how he courted Zamar in 2017, while he was in a relationship with a woman whose name we can’t verify at this stage.
In Sjava’s version of the story, he claims that Zamar knew she was entering into an affair and allegedly went along with it until she ‘forced’ him to make a choice between her and the other woman.
“That’s where the problems started. Already, there were issues in our relationship because of my commitment to my craft. I couldn’t juggle the relationships because of my focus on what I do for a living,” he said. (This text was translated from Zulu)
He is not married and has no children
Furthermore, Sjava shot down claims that he is a married man. “I have never been married,” he stressed in the tell-all video.
The musician also confirmed that he, in fact, does not have children as reports have claimed over the months of speculation surrounding the scandal.
Sjava apologises to Zamar
Sjava accepted accountability for hurting Zamar the way he did when it was reported that he had lured her into an affair. However, the rapper maintains that he has never sexually assaulted the songstress.
He went on to detail his advocacy for the fight against women and child abuse and revealed the extend of the damage these allegations has had on his business dealings.
