While the truth may never come to light, not that it is any of our business, Nomzamo Mbatha has made it abundantly clear, in numerous occasions that the split was not an amicable one.
Fans of the celebrity ex-couple are in part to blame for the constant re-emergence of the topic. In March, Mbatha caught the wrong end of the backlash when she threatened to open a can of worms on Maponyane for something the Buns Out founder had nothing to do with.
Maps had merely corrected a fan who had assumed that the woman in the picture below was Mbatha to avoid ramping up speculation about the status of their relationship.
However, Mbatha did not take kindly to his gesture.
“Not now. Not ever. Masego, Stop taking advantage of my silence and choice to be graceful through it all. Shake this can one more time and I’ll open it. @MapsMaponyane you made your bed. Lie in it,” she replied.
Maps was gentleman enough to not take the bait and he let it go. We all forgot about this and life moved on but it seems like Mbatha has still stuck with sour feelings towards her ex.

During an Instagram Live feed, Mbatha was asked by her fans about dealing with heartbreak. Unable to control herself, the former Isibaya actress broke out in an uncomfortable laugh and pretended to know nothing about such.
This left a bitter taste in the mouths of many who watched the footage with some stating that Mbatha has not emotionally outgrown her relationship with Maps.
The constant trolling forced Mbatha to retaliate in tweets that have since been deleted along with the actress’ account.
