The Mali Eningi rapper sent shockwaves across social media on Friday when, out of nowhere, he delivered a five-minute onslaught titled 150 Bars, where he left no stone unturned in dissing SA Hip-Hop’s hierarchy.
A lyrical powerhouse in his own right, Zulu left fans gob-smacked with harsh words targeted at the likes of Cassper Nyovest, K.O, AKA, 25K, his former record label Ambitiouz Entertainment and a slew of other SA Hip-Hop A-listers.

Zulu’s 150 Bars has been trending atop social media lists since the surprise release dropped on Friday. If SA Hip-Hop is dead, Big Zulu’s industry-wide onslaught was the genre’s resurrection.
Sure, Nyovest’s attempt to create conversation around Hip-Hop may have yielded some reaction when he dropped Put Your Hands Up, good or bad, but Big Zulu deserves all the credit for reigniting interest in the genre.
