Chicago rapper Polo G, who recently shared his contemplation about retiring from his rap career due to his perception of the industry losing its edge, is now in the spotlight for another reason.
Polo G arrested: Why was his LA mansion raided?
As reported by TMZ, Law enforcement officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) executed a search warrant at Polo G’s mansion, on Wednesday morning.
Video footage obtained from the scene showed a significant law enforcement presence at Polo G’s house.
Officers reportedly ordered individuals, including Polo G, out of the residence one by one, placing them in handcuffs while they conducted their search of the property.

Law enforcement sources revealed that the search warrant was related to a robbery case, and as a result, four suspects were taken into custody.
However, they have not been officially booked at this time.
Is the rapper listed as a suspect in the robbery case?
A representative from Polo G’s team informed TMZ that the rapper has been detained as part of an active investigation.
However, the representative emphasised that Polo G is not the main focus of the ongoing investigation.
The representative further stated,
“We are hopeful the LAPD will handle this matter with tact and transparency.”
Polo G’s shocking arrest occurred a week after he made headlines for sharing his frustration with the current state of the Hip-Hop industry.
In a tweet posted on 18 August 2023, Polo referred to the rap game as “lame and watered down,” adding that it’s lost its fun.
Furthermore, he indicated that after his upcoming album Hood Poet, he’s contemplating retiring from music.
