They stated:
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”
The couple also addressed the various speculations surrounding their separation, emphasising that their decision to divorce was a united one.
They expressed their hope that everyone would respect their desire for privacy, extending to both themselves and their children.
“There are many speculative reasons as to why, but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the ex-couple wrote.
Jonas’s reported request for a parenting plan
According to reports, Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner in Miami, seeking joint custody of their two daughters, aged one and three.
A prenuptial agreement is in place, and court documents obtained by TMZ reveal Joe’s request for a parenting plan that allows “frequent and continuing contact with both parties.”
Currently, the children have been staying with Joe in Miami and other locations throughout the United States as he and his brothers tour the country.
The news of their divorce comes shortly after reports of their relationship reaching its conclusion.
