Gold is a 10-track LP that has already garnered attention for its standout songs, including There Will Be No Crying, Things Will Get Better, and Desire.
This swift follow-up comes just a week after Cleo Sol returned to the music scene with Heaven, a critically acclaimed nine-song album characterised by minimalist jazz compositions that provide ample space for her soulful voice to shine.
In a message to her fans, Cleo Sol expressed gratitude for their patience and support, emphasising the sacred nature of her music and the importance of change and growth in her creative process.
She also acknowledged her partner and producer, Inflo, for his role in her artistic journey.
Cleo Sol, whose real name is Cleopatra Zvezdana Nikolic, has been involved in the music industry since her debut in 2008, collaborating with artists like Tinie Tempah.
She signed with DaVinChe’s record label Dirty Canvas and Island Records in 2011, releasing singles such as High and Never the Right Time (Who Do You Love).
After a hiatus from 2012 to 2017, she returned with the EP Winter Songs in 2018.
Her debut studio album, Rose in the Dark, arrived in 2020, followed by Mother in 2021.
Cleo Sol’s unique blend of influences, including Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott, along with her exposure to genres like reggae, Motown, and Latin music during her upbringing, has contributed to her distinctive sound.
As of 2022, Cleo Sol is in a relationship with English record producer Inflo, with whom she shares a child born in 2021.
Her recent releases have solidified her position as a noteworthy artist in the contemporary music landscape.
